Popular Professional footballer Asamoah Gyan, known as "Baby Jet" has opened fire on popular radio station JOY FM and threatened to stop listening to their shows and anything related to them totally.
The man who holds the title as Ghana’s top scorer at the world Cup said he has lost all the respect he had for the radio station and swore that from today, they are no longer on his list of preferable media firms.
The former Black starts captain made the outburst on Twitter after Joy FM asked it’s social media followers if Asamoah Gyan’s famous penalty miss at the 2010 World Cup hosted in South Africa still hurts them.
The post from the media giant certainly hurt the ace footballer’s feelings because bringing up the issue once more makes him the topic of discussion on Twitter for the day.
He took to Twitter to respond to the radio station for their irresponsibility and lack of empathy. “I have lost Respect for you guys. From today, @Joy997FM is out on my list. You should be ashamed of your self. Learn how to respect. Smh,” he wrote.
The penalty was one of the most important in football history to Ghanaians and Africans at large because scoring it would have propelled Ghana to the semi-finals of the world Cup for the first time making it the only African country to attain the feat thereby raising Africa’s image on the international football scene.
